23 micron clear extended core pallet wrap, 6 rolls per box

This is our heavy-duty clear stretch film on an extended core. The core is 570mm long, so it sticks out about 85mm past the film at each end. You hold those ends like handles and wrap straight away. There’s no dispenser to buy, and nothing extra to carry between jobs.

At 23 micron the film is strong enough for loads over 500kg, sharp edges and long journeys. Each roll is 400mm by 250m, weighs 2.43kg and contains at least 30% post-consumer recycled plastic.

What it’s good for

• Removals and furniture, where you wrap in a different place each day
• Warehouses that only wrap the odd pallet
• Vans, trade counters and second sites where a dispenser isn’t practical
• Heavy, uneven or sharp-edged loads
• Pallets where labels and barcodes need to stay readable

If you wrap a lot of pallets from one spot, a standard core roll on a dispenser will be quicker. If you’d rather hide the goods, the same roll comes in black.

Using it

Hold one end of the core in each hand, fix the film to the pallet and walk round it, leaning back slightly so the film stretches as it comes off. Your hands stay on the core, not the film, which is much easier on your fingers than wrapping with a bare roll. See how to wrap a pallet properly for the pattern to follow.

Frequently asked questions

What is extended core stretch film?

It’s normal stretch film wound on a core that’s longer than the film. The extra length at each end works as a handle, so you can wrap by hand without a dispenser.

Is it as strong as standard core film?

Yes. It’s the same 23 micron film. Only the core is different.

Is it good for house moves?

How many rolls are in a box?

Six rolls, with a total box weight of about 14.98kg.

Is this the same as shrink wrap?

Lots of people call it shrink wrap. You pull it as you wrap and it clings to itself, so it holds pallets, boxes, furniture, tools and most other loads firmly in place. Being clear, you can still see what’s inside.
